As part of its ongoing commitment to rider and event safety, Motorcycling Australia (MA) is currently reviewing the Venue Standards implemented in December 2006.

In addition to an internal review, MA is calling for feedback from the motorcycling industry and community on the Standards, which are available to download from the MA website www.ma.org.au/standardsreview.

MA’s Risk and Compliance Manager, Amit Oberoi, said that a review of the Standards is proceeding in order to achieve and maintain the highest level of safety at our events.

"We are continually working to improve our systems and processes, which includes ensuring that venues meet safety standards and provide a safe working environment for all involved," Oberoi said.

"MA is calling for feedback on the Standards, which have been in place since 2006, in order to ensure that the best possible outcomes can be achieved.

"In the coming months, once we have received feedback and have consulted with relevant safety bodies, we will be updating the Standards and these will be made available on the MA website."
