The Frontline Media Group, promoter of the 2009 Australian Superbike Championship, announced today that they are unable to confirm the total series prize pool or the size of the prize pools available for each round of the 2009 ASBK championship.

FMG state they are now unable to confirm final prize money as their sponsors have been impacted by the global financial crisis. The announcement is at odds with details previously provided by the group on the 15th December and still detailed on the official 2009 ASBK web site.

Final details on the 2009 ASBK prize monies is expected to be announced early in the new year according to the statement issued today.

The Yarrie Kronsky owned FMG was selected some months ago by Motorcycling Australia as the new promoter of the ASBK following a selection process that did not include the outgoing promoter Terry O'Neill.
