The new promoter of the 2009 Australian Superbike Championship, the recently registered International Entertainment Group, announced today the prize money available for each round of the 2009 ASBK championship. The details include the breakdown of prize money by class and final place result.
Seven of the nine classes participating in the series attract prize money. The Juniors and Womens National classes will only receive prizes and trophies.
The breakdown of the round prize money pool is as follows:
- Production Superbike $4700
- Supersport $3950
- Superstock 1000 $2200
- Superstock 600 $1100
- 125 GP $1850
- 250 GP Mono $1100
- Historics / Sidecars $1250 (each class)
The Yarrie Kronsky owned FMG was selected some months ago by Motorcycling Australia as the new promoter of the ASBK however a new promoter has been announced. The official Australian Superbike Championship web site provides no explanation of the change from the Frontline Media Group to the International Entertainment Group.
Details available from the Australian Securities & Investments Commission reveal that the International Entertainment Group Pty Ltd was only registered as recently as the 4th December 2008.
